Please join the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Committee (www.indigenouspeoplesdayrocny.org) to discuss Where They Last Saw Her by Anishinaabe author Marcie R. Rendon. When an Indigenous woman learns of the disappearance of one of her own, she decides enough is enough. As Quill puts everything on the line to make a difference, the novel asks searing questions about bystander culture, the reverberations of even one act of crime, and the long-lasting trauma of being invisible.
Educational resources will be provided to learn more about Red Dress Day which is observed on May 5th to bring awareness and remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.
